Sunrises and Sunsets on the Sunshine Coast are always unexpected and beautiful. No matter where you are at this time of day the views can be spectacular with a variety of colours.

Beach Life
One of my favourite things about living on the Sunshine Coast are our beautiful, peaceful beaches. With 36 popular spots to choose from its not hard to find a patch of sand, throw down your towel, and relax to the blissful sound of the waves. There's never a dull photography moment with so many perspectives and scenes to capture.
This particular day I learnt a very valuable lesson that gave me a great opportunity to expand my creativity. Forgetting to charge my battery on an afternoon trip to the beach I had to use the equipment I had on hand. I always carry my small Nikon S9900 compact camera. It has the versatility of a Macro feature which gave me the chance to change my perspective on the scene and come up with something just as beautiful (photos below).

A Place to Escape
The Sunshine Coast has many wonderful things to offer, but the views would be one of the best. Coolum Beach has the best 360 degree views around and a day like this it hard to beat!

The Lone Tree
I've heard to be a great photographer you need to be willing to step out of your comfort zone to get the great shot, so that's what I did! A single tree in the distance to me represented loneliness, strength and endurance with the determination to survive.
